The past few months have been a whirlwind of exciting news and milestones for the Nymi team. We’ve shipped over 800 Nymi Band Discovery Kits to our developer community since last December and the response has been great. We’ve also announced a new focus on the enterprise space, committing to a series of pilots using the Nymi Band in the workplace during the upcoming months.
The question on everyone’s minds now is: When will you ship the Nymi Band?
The answer is: Once we are able to make it truly useful for you, the everyday end user.
As you probably know by now, we began shipping a version of the Nymi Band called the “Discovery Kit” to a large number of developers last December. This has helped us learn a lot about the hardware and has confirmed what we already knew about the software: that it’s not ready yet. In other words, we need to focus our efforts to build out a meaningful ecosystem so that the Nymi Band holds true to its potential and promise of being a valuable product that will simplify people’s lives. We have heard a resounding message from many of our affiliates and partners, confirming that the best place for us to showcase that is in the enterprise space.
The Nymi team’s number one goal is now to build the Nymi Ecosystem. It’s also our biggest challenge and most important task to-date.
The workplace is the ideal testing ground for matters of convenience and security. Soon we’ll be seeing the Nymi Band make a significant impact on people’s daily lives – improving day-to-day interactions with technology during their 9-to-5 and beyond. At that point, we’ll know that it is the right time to ship out to our customers. That’s a day we can look forward to together.
