Before Enrolling

Pick which wrist you want to wear your Nymi Band on a daily basis. Then, choose a finger from the other hand for enrollment and authentication.

Make sure...

Ensure your chosen finger is clean, dry, and free of cuts before starting enrollment.

Fingerprint Enrollment

During fingerprint enrollment, gently place your finger flat on the sensor, aligning it center to center. Avoid applying too much pressure.

Breaking in Your Band

Your Nymi Band is made of durable polycarbonate TPU. It may feel stiff at first but will soften with use. To speed this up, gently bend and twist the straps occasionally.

Step-by-Step Enrollment

Before You Start

Ready to go?

If your organization has opted for the full connected worker solution, you will go through the Nymi Band enrollment with your Admin team. Before you arrive, check out the tips above to help ensure a quick and easy setup.

What to Expect During Guided Enrollment with Your Admin Team

Step 1

Wear your Nymi Band

Your Admin team will have your enrollment station ready for you. When you arrive, choose your Nymi Band and wear it comfortably on your wrist. This will be your assigned Nymi Band for future use.

Step 2

Enroll

Open the Nymi Band Application on your designated enrollment station and follow the directions to set up your fingerprint template. This step connects your corporate user identity to the Nymi Band in a manner that is private and secure.

Step 3

Test Authentication

Once enrollment is complete, you will see a checkmark on your Nymi Band screen. Now take it off your wrist. You will feel it buzz, indicating it has de-authenticated, and the screen will show an X symbol to reflect this state. Wear your Nymi Band again and check that your enrollment was successful with a fingerprint authentication.

Step 4

Congratulations!

You are all set up.Start using your Nymi Band for the applications chosen by your organization. Your Admin Team will guide you on next steps for training.

Follow these steps to set up your Nymi Band for FIDO2

Step 1

Wear your Nymi Band

Wear your Nymi Band comfortably on your wrist. Wake up the band by pressing its right-side button.

Step 2

Enroll

This step securely connects your user identity to the Nymi Band with your biometrics. Follow the directions directly on the Nymi Band screen to set up your fingerprint template.

Step 3

Once your Nymi Band is successfully enrolled, head over to your FIDO2-enabled application (such as Microsoft Office 365, Ping, Okta, or many others) to register your Nymi Band as a FIDO2 authenticator for your account.

Step 4

Congratulations!

You are all set up.

Start using your Nymi Band for authentication to any FIDO2-enabled application.

Label Your Nymi Band

Customize your Nymi Band with a Band ID label up to 12 characters (6 per row) that displays on the screen when you press the side button.

Wipe Your Data Forever

Permanently erase your Nymi Band by placing it on a charger, tap twice on the fingerprint sensor, and at the "Delete User Data" screen, press and hold your finger on the sensor.

Add a Strap Extender

Wear your Nymi Band elsewhere than your wrist (e.g., ankle, upper arm) by adding a strap extender.
