We are excited to announce the formation of this partnership, whereby the Nymi Band will be combined with Entertech's enterprise identity platform, BioConnect, for pilots launching this fall. The full press release can be seen below:

We are excited to announce that John Haggard has joined Nymi as our new CEO.

Over the past few months, we have been working with partners and developers to build and  enhance the Nymi Ecosystem. In doing so, we have been able to demonstrate some of the Nymi Band’s latest applications - from wearable payments to two-factor authentication - at some exciting events and conferences. We would like to share with you some highlights from our participation at Salesforce’s recent conference in San Francisco, Dreamforce, along with new Nymi Band features and finally, details surrounding events we are planning to participate in this fall.

Last November, we announced that we would be launching a wearable payment pilot with MasterCard® and participating Canadian banks. Flash forward eight months, and we are proud to announce the launch of the world’s first biometrically authenticated payment using one’s heartbeat.

Are you a Nymi Developer yet? The past month has been a big one for us at Nymi as we continue to work on improving the developer experience. We are pleased to share a bunch of awesome updates to our developer ecosystem.

Those of you who have been following us for a while know that it has been an exciting ride for Nymi. We released the Nymi Band hardware (the Nymi Band Discovery Kit) to developers last year with a few applications, we announced some partnerships including Mastercard as well as some of the major Canadian banks and made a shift in our immediate priorities to better address identity and access needs in the enterprise space.

The Nymi Band’s first mobile Nymi Companion App is now available to download.

The future of retail is a future of Personalized Experiences. We’ve always believed that the Nymi Band’s true power is not just in its increased security and convenience, but also in the new experiences it can create. The team at Nymi is excited by a future of opt-in, personalized experiences in the Internet of Things (IOT) space, impacting everything from retail to hospitality.

Last week, Ubuntu demoed a Nymi Band enabled Internet of Things (IoT) solution. This demo was powered by Snappy Ubuntu Core and controlled in the backend using ForgeRock’s identity management system. The Nymi Band was used as a biometric identification device. The w allowed an authorized individual to access the identity management backend, and if successful, a welcome message was communicated on  the LED display.
